Why no prices
A packing slip lists what's in the box, not what it cost: the person opening it might have received a gift. Send the invoice or receipt separately to whoever paid.
For small shops
Handmade and small online shops use packing slips to check orders before sealing and to give the customer one place to look if something is missing. A barcode with the order number speeds up returns.

Is a packing slip the same as a packing list?
Close. A packing list is usually the shipper's record of what went out, sometimes for customs; a packing slip is the customer's copy in the box. This template works for both.
