How it works
How to use the fake WhatsApp chat generator
- 01Type the chat or group name and add the people taking part.
- 02Click any bubble to edit it; set its time and whether it was sent, delivered or read (blue ticks).
- 03Add replies, emoji reactions, date pills and a “typing…” bubble from a message's options.
- 04Switch dark mode, the wallpaper or the encryption notice, then download the PNG.
The WhatsApp details people notice
Bubble tails on the first message of each run, the time and ticks tucked into the last line, gray ticks turning blue when read, “Today” date pills, reaction chips under the bubble and quoted replies with a colored bar. Group members get their own name colors and avatars, just like the app.
Group chats that feel lived-in
Add as many members as you like. The header lists them under the group name, each sender's name sits at the top of their first bubble, and their avatar sits beside the last one. Perfect for family-chat jokes, story videos and comic strips.
Light and dark
Turn on dark mode for the deep teal bubbles and the night wallpaper; everything else, from the tick colors to the date pills, follows.
FAQ
Questions
How do I get blue ticks?
Set a message's status to Read. Delivered shows two gray ticks, Sent one gray tick, and “No status” hides them.
Can I show “typing…” under the name?
Yes: add a Typing… message from the other person at the end, or type anything you like (“online”, “last seen today at 09:12”) in the chat subtitle.
