How it works
How to use the fake Slack message generator
- 01Set the channel name in Slack settings; with one other person it becomes a DM.
- 02Add teammates in People and write their messages; follow-ups stack under the same name.
- 03Add reactions, @mentions and thread replies (a reply shows “replied to a thread” and a reply count).
- 04Choose light or dark theme and download the PNG.
Built like the desktop app
Each sender's run starts with a rounded-square avatar, their name in heavy bold and the time; following lines tuck underneath. Reactions are pills with counts, yours outlined in blue. The “Today” date pill, the member count, the tab bar and the formatting composer are all there.
Threads without the clicking
Reply to a message and Mockling adds “2 replies · Last reply today at…” under the original with the repliers' avatars, while the reply itself shows “replied to a thread:” above it.
FAQ
Questions
Can I use it for a product mockup or slide?
That's what it's for: prototypes, pitch decks, onboarding docs and comic strips. Export at 2× or 3× for crisp slides.
Does the workspace name or logo appear?
No. There are no logos or workspace branding; just the channel view.
Mockling makes mockups for parody, storytelling, design and education. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any of the platforms it imitates; their names are trademarks of their owners. Don't use mockups to deceive, impersonate or harass anyone.
