How it works
A PO number your vendor quotes on every invoice, the order and delivery dates, the vendor's and your shipping address, each item with its quantity and unit price, shipping, the total, payment terms such as Net 30, and the name of whoever approved it.
The buyer writes the purchase order to place an order; the seller sends the invoice to ask for payment. Matching the two (and the packing slip in the box) is how a business checks it got what it ordered at the price it agreed.
The same editor makes quotes, estimates, work orders, packing slips, price lists, proforma invoices and menus. Each starts from its own template and keeps the math.
