How to use the payment receipt template

What to put on a payment receipt
Your business name and contact details, a receipt number, the date the payment arrived, who paid, which invoice it settles, the amount and method, and the remaining balance (zero when it is paid in full).
Receipt vs invoice
An invoice asks for money; a receipt confirms you got it. Send the receipt once the payment lands, quoting the invoice number, so the client's books match yours.

Is this payment receipt template free?
Yes. Edit it, download a PNG at print quality or print it, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Can I show a part payment or deposit?
Yes. Add a Paid row with the amount received and a Balance due row: it works out what is still owed.
Can I change the currency and number format?
Yes, in the Currency panel: any symbol, before or after the amount, and commas, dots or spaces between thousands.
