What a delivery receipt records
The delivery and order numbers, date and time, the delivery address, the driver or carrier, each item with its quantity and condition, a note on reporting damage, and the signatures of whoever received it and the driver.
Why it matters
If something turns up damaged or missing, the signed receipt shows what was delivered and in what state. It also closes the order in your books.
